My thoughts on the Foot and Ankle Show at the Weekend.

There’s so much buzzing around in my head as I start to write this following this weekend's Foot & Ankle Show.

In fact, it’s taken effort to sit back and manage that flow of thoughts and ideas.

Which is usually what happens after a great show.

You run on pure adrenaline for two whole days.

You talk to loads of people (and I mean LOADS of people) and come away with insights, ideas and opportunities.

Plus you get to meet people in real life - I mean no disrespect to virtual events, because I’ve been to some immense ones recently, but nothing replaces feeling like he energy of other people close to you. Especially those people you move developed a relationship with virtually.

I got to meet clients in real life and the connection I had already developed with them increased ten fold.

That^^ in itself was worth the time and energy to be there.

But there was so much more:

Amazing speakers.

Great trades.

Brilliant breakout sessions.

Plenty of laughs (and I mean plenty).

And the usual conversations while doing random things like holding a blow up shark, or talking about the length your partner will go to in the post operative recovery phase of surgery (yes, you know who you are).

With all that going on, there were still stand out moments.

The awesome people standing on stage for the first time to deliver content they are passionate about (Ektaa , Zoe, and Thanaporn get mentions here, because it was a pleasure to be in their presence and feel their energy).

The session from Sean and Emily was immense in the emotion it created to support it's powerful message.

And how people connected with each other for the first time and realising just how much they have in common.

The team at OSGO for creating the most amazing space for people to come and play (even in the absence of Tony - get well soon mate).

Three of the best co-hosts that you could ever wish for - thanks Amy, Gill and Daniel. It was a pleasure to share that space with you.

And being able to deliver two mindfulness sessions at the conference during my campfire sessions (which is a post for another day)

That felt really edgy and I had no idea how it would go, but a huge thank you to those that accepted the invitation and came along.

I know they I am going to spend some time this week reflecting and focusing on energy management.

There’s always a come down from any show - if the show is particularly good, the drop seems to be much higher and I’ve learnt my lesson two many times to not pay attention.

That process started with a walk along Crosby Beach on Sunday morning checking out the Another Place art installation (which was magical).

If you were at the show - thank you.

If I saw you - thanks for spending time with me.

If I missed you - apologies. It was bonkers, but let’s catch up soon.
